This is my first time hosting a show at a craft fair, and I’ve been working incredibly hard. But it hasn’t been easy.
Oh, not easy by far.
As you may have read in my previous post on Market Fair Prep, you know that I’m gearing up to get out there and sell the *&^$ out of my products.
But first, there are a lot of things that I need to do, and forget.

Craft Fair Prep
As the nerd that I am, and my insatiable need to be organized and prepared, I’ve scoured the internet in search of lists and advice.
But like everything on the internet, I ended up down a rabbit hole.
PINTEREST.
While Pinterest is wonderful for advice or inspiration, I feel overwhelmed. Sort of like when Martha Stewart came out and every woman said, “Girl, who has the time for that!”
For my booth, I have only a table and a green-painted sign.
I have no idea what I’m going to put on the sign. I have no idea if I want a tent or if I want banners.
There is so much to think about and not a lot of time.
Which is why I’ve decided to push back my date till August.

In addition to the decor issues, I’ve also decided to add soaps. And of course, there have been distribution issues.
I’ve made the candles that go in the packages with the soaps, but I need to make the soaps.
And I need to do a batch test.
So much fun!
If this is what it is like to open an actual store, good night. I don’t think that I would manage it, mentally and spiritually.
Or maybe I would, I don’t know if that is a bridge I am not sure I’m going to cross any time soon.
In the meantime, if you have any ideas or advice on how to create a sweet, rustic booth that is irresistible to anyone walking past the BBQ station, sound off in the comments!
Stay tuned, more to come.
Until next time
